Ambassador-designate Tigran Balayan visited Armenian community in Amsterdam

On November 18, Tigran Balayan, the newly-appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, visited Holy Spirit Armenian Apostolic Church in Amsterdam, where he attended a liturgy. At the end of the liturgy he met with members of the church council, as well as adherents of the church.

The newly appointed Ambassador presented the changes in Armenia that took place after the Velvet revolution, the meaning and importance of holding snap parliamentary elections in December.

At the meeting with the Armenian community of Amsterdam and surrounding areas, Tigran Balayan talked about his mission and vision as an Ambassador. The newly appointed Ambassador asked for his compatriots’ support in fulfilling his endeavours.

"Our goal is to make sure that all our compatriots feel that Armenia and the embassy have their back and we feel that our community is by the embassy’s side in our initiatives aimed at the strengthening Armenia," said Ambassador-designate Balayan.

Ambassador Balayan got acquainted with the conditions of “Grigor Narekatsi” Sunday school, which operates under the auspices of the Church, talked with Vahan Avagyan, head of “Grigor Narekatsi” union and the members of the board, as well as with the parents of students.
