On March 6, Tigran Balayan, Ambassador of Armenia to the Netherlands, met with Kajsa Ollongren, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Netherlands.

Greeting the Armenian Ambassador, Minister Ollongren mentioned that she is familiar with the developments in Armenia and the process of forming a new government through free and transparent elections.

Ambassador Balayan expressed gratitude for the meeting and briefed Minister Ollongren on the large-scale reforms in Armenia undertaken by the Government after the Velvet Revolution and the Government's agenda. Tigran Balayan informed that the meetings between the Prime Ministers and Foreign Ministers of the two countries in 2019 have created a fertile soil for promoting bilateral cooperation in various fields.

Kajsa Ollongren welcomed the initiatives aimed at expanding the Armenian-Dutch partnership, assuring that Ministry of Interior and Kingdom Affairs and the political party (D66) she represents are ready to support those initiatives.

During the meeting the sides exchanged views on the possibilities of exchanging the Dutch experience in the field of territorial governance, public service reforms and water management.
