On 15 August Ambassador Tigran Balayan attended the meeting entitled "The ongoing genocide on the Yazidis" in the "deBALIE" Amsterdam.

The meeting was attended by the Members of Parliament of the Netherlands, journalists, human rights activists and others. In his remarks the Ambassador noted that he has an honor to also represent the Yazidi community of Armenia and to convey the message from the Yazidi Member of Armenian Parliament.

Tigran Balayan noted that Armenia, being the first country to recognize the Yazidi Genocide, stands in solidarity with our Yazidi sisters and brothers. The Ambassador underlined the central role of the Genocide prevention agenda for Armenia and emphasized the need for taking urgent actions to save the Yazidi people from new sufferings.
