Ambassador Balayan and Archbishop Barsamian met with the Cardinal of Luxembourg

22 November, 2022

On November 18, Pontifical Delegate of the Armenian Apostolic Church to the Western Europe, Archbishop Khajak Barsamian, accompanied by Ambassador Tigran Balanyan visited the Luxembourg Catholic Church’s Prelacy, where they met with Luxembourg’s Archbishop, Cardinal Jean-Claude Hollerich. The main goal of the meeting was to discuss programs related to the Armenian community in Luxembourg aimed at spreading the Armenian spiritual and cultural values in Luxembourg.

The Cardinal responded positively to the questions raised by the Armenian side, noting that it is a great honor for him, within his competence to support any initiatives, that concern Armenia and the Armenian people.

Ambassador Balayan and Archbishop Barsamian had a meeting with Luxembourg’s Christian-Socialist party member, Luxembourg’s Deputy Mayor, Laurent Mosar. The discussions with the latter concerned the strengthening and developing of the Armenian-Luxembourgish friendly relationship within various fields.

Archbishop Barsamian and Ambassador Balayan met with a number of Armenian community representatives in Luxembourg and neighboring countries too. Questions regarding the organization of the Armenian community’s spiritual and cultural life were discussed, after which the Ambassador and the Archbishop answered to the questions of those present.
