On June 10, Kristine Stepanyan, Third Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in the Netherlands, took part in the "Strengthening Women's Inclusion and Role in Conflict Prevention and Resolution - 20th Anniversary of UN Security Council Resolution 1325" webinar organized by the Embassy of Albania in the Netherlands.

The speakers of the webinar Aida Sakiki, Ambassador of Albania to the Netherlands, Anika Markovic, Ambassador of Sweden to the Netherlands , Lamberto Zannier, High Commissioner for National Minorities of the OSCE and Marie Jacobson, Chief Legal Adviser of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sweden touched upon the need to expand the involvement of women in the OSCE member states, the need to create inclusive societies in the field of conflict prevention, the role of women in all stages of conflict prevention and settlement.

In the context of the discussion, K. Stepanyan noted that Armenia, as the chairperson of the UN Commission on the Status of Women and a member of the Human Rights Council, focuses on women's empowerment and the creation of equal opportunities for them in the political, economic and social spheres. Given the targeting of women during conflicts, Ms. Stepanyan also asked the speakers to refer to the efforts of the international community aimed at ensuring their security in the conditions of the epidemic.
