Ambassador’s meeting with the Director-General of the European Affairs of the MFA of the Netherlands

On January 11, Ambassador Tigran Balayan met with Thijs van der Plas, the Director-General for European Affairs of the MFA of the Netherlands.

During the talk, a number of issues of the EU agenda were discussed, the views were exchanged on the processes taking place in the EU, as well as the stance of the Netherlands on them.

Tigran Balayan and Thijs van der Plas discussed matters of the Armenia-EU cooperation. In this regard they touched upon the ongoing cooperation within the framework of existing formats.

Ambassador Balayan briefed the Dutch senior diplomat on the recent developments in Armenia, the snap parliamentary elections and their results, as well as the government's reform programs. In this regard Ambassador Balayan attached high importance to the ongoing support of the European partners.
