Ambassador’s meeting with the Foreign Affairs speaker of the Socialist Party

On February 13, Ambassador Tigran Balayan met with Sadet Karabulut, a member of Parliament of the Netherlands, Foreign Affairs speaker of the Socialist Party.

Tigran Balayan expressed his gratitude to Sedat Karabulut for consistent efforts towards the recognition and condemnation of the Armenian Genocide and her constant attention to human rights issues.

Ambassador Balayan briefed the Dutch parliamentarian on the ongoing reforms in Armenia, steps taken by the government to combat corruption, strengthen democracy and create favorable investment climate.

Tigran Balayan attached importance to the role of parliaments in the development of Armenian-Dutch relations and informed about the initiatives aimed at expanding cooperation between Armenia and the Netherlands in various fields.

During the conversation, the sides exchanged views on the issues of unity and mutual support for democratic societies and the protection of human rights in the conflict zones.
