On May 27 in Gymnasium Haaganum a concert dedicated to the 95th birth anniversary of Charles Aznavour was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in the Netherlands with the assistance of Diplomat Magazine.

The ambassadors accredited in The Hague, representatives from the International Court of Justice, international organizations, the Dutch-Armenian community, artists, business circles were present at the concert.

In his welcome address Ambassador of Armenia to the Netherlands Tigran Balayan expressed his gratitude to the organizations involved in the preparation of the concert. Ambassador Balayan views this assistance as a tribute they paid to the National Hero of Armenia and the best Ambassador of French and Francophone Culture, Charles Aznavour.

"It has been an honour for me to know Aznavour personally. I remember his words. "I am a hundred percent French and a hundred percent Armenian." Today, we can add undoubtedly, he was a hundred percent citizen of the world. Only great personalities can be citizens of the world, those who are endowed with the ability to build universal values and serve as symbols of pride, both for their country of origin and a country that "accepted" them. While Aznavour is recognized as "the artist of the century", France has declared him the Father of the French Song, Armenia has granted him a National Hero title, for the Armenians worldwide  Aznavour remains a person thanks to whom the Armenian nation is recognized in different corners of the globe, " said Balayan.

During the concert Head of the ‘‘Club Amitie’’, Dominique Peters presented Charles Aznavour's path and accomplishments in music, as well as his philanthropy.

The attendees watched a short film about Charles Aznavour provided by the Aznavour Foundation for the concert in The Hague.

The pianist Arayik Mirzoyan, the ‘‘Aznaband’’ choir of the French school in The Hague, singer Vardges Khanjaryan performed masterpieces of Aznavour.
