02 July, 2019

Approximately four dozen books about the history of Armenia and the Armenian nation, the Armenian culture and Dutch-Armenians were donated to the Public Library of Amsterdam during a ceremony held on July 2.

While addressing the attendees of the ceremony, including the library staff and the Armenian  Diaspora representatives of Amsterdam, Ambassador Balayan was confident to announce that from now on, readers will be granted an opportunity to get more comprehensive and in-depth information about Armenia and its history, about Armenians worldwide and their cultural heritage.

Martin Berendse, Director General of the Library, while expressing his gratitude for donating valuable literature to the Amsterdam Public Library, emphasized that it is an important contribution to the mission of presenting to the citizens the history and culture of those people who have made their contribution to the development of the city.
