Award Ceremony at the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in the Netherlands with the participation of the Secretary General of MFA of Armenia

On September 12, a reception was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in the Netherlands, attended by Mr. Vahagn Melikyan, Secretary General of the MFA of the Republic of Armenia , officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, representatives of international organizations and courts located in The Hague, as well as representatives of religious, business and cultural circles.

Vahagn Melikyan greeted the guests and emphasized that it is a great honor to be surrounded by the friends of Armenia, who have contributed to the development of the Armenian-Dutch relations and the increase of the visibility of Armenia and Armenian culture in the Netherlands.

During the reception, Mr. Melikyan handed over the Letters gratitude of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia to Matevos (Mato) Hakhverdi, Chairman of Abovyan Union, for the contribution to the strengthening of the Homeland-Diaspora ties and to the preservation of the Armenian identity, and to "Pijnackernaren Helpen Armenië" foundation, for long-standing and fruitful charity activities in Armenia.

Medals of Honor of the MFA of Armenia were handed to Mrs. Inge Drost, Secretary of Federation of Armenian organizations in the Netherlands for effective activities aimed at the recognition of Armenian Genocide in the Netherlands and to Mr. Jos Douman, the former ambassador of the Netherlands to Armenia, for initiatives and programs directed to the development of bilateral relations between Armenia and Netherlands.
