Meeting with the newly appointed Registrar of the International Court of Justice

On November 27, Ambassador Tigran Balayan met with Philippe Guatier, newly appointed Registrar of the International Court of Justice.

Congratulating Philippe Guatier on assuming the post of Registrar of the ICJ, Tigran Balayan expressed confidence that active contacts and cooperation with the Court would gain new momentum.

As Chairman of the Group of Francophone Ambassadors in The Hague, Tigran Balayan attached importance to ensuring the continuity of French office in the Court. With this regards, the possibilities of establishing cooperation between the International Organization of Francophonie and the International Court of Justice were touched upon.

In the course of the meeting, the sides touched upon the importance and directions of the mission of the International Court of Justice.
