Reception in honor of the newly appointed Ambassador of the Netherlands to Armenia

On July 8, a reception was held at the residence of H.E. Mr. Tigran Balayan, Ambassador Armenian to the Netherlands in honor of H.E. Mr. Niko Schermers, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Netherlands to Armenia. Representatives of Dutch businesses operating or interested in Armenia were present at the reception.

Welcoming the guests, Ambassador Balayan congratulated his counterpart on his appointment, expressing confidence that the opening of the Dutch Embassy in Armenia will give a new impetus to trade and economic cooperation, and the guests present at the reception are the beneficiaries and driving force in this field.

Expressing gratitude for hosting the reception, Ambassador Schermers emphasized that he has already had discussions with the representatives of the companies interested in cooperation with Armenia and the interest of the Dutch structures is obvious. He expressed confidence that the establishment of the embassy will promote bilateral cooperation in all spheres.

The businessmen present at the event shared their experience of working in Armenia and programs to expand their activities. An agreement was reached to organize a business mission to Armenia after the situation with the coronavirus epidemic.
