The meeting of Ambassadors Balayan and Schermers with representatives of FAON

On August 5, the Abovyan Union in The Hague hosted the meeting of Ambassadors Tigran Balayan and Niko Schermers with representatives of the member organizations of the Federation of Armenian Organizations of the Netherlands, including Mr. Mato Hakhverdyan, President of FAON.

The newly appointed Ambassador of the Netherlands informed the representatives of the Armenian organizations of the Netherlands about his vision for the development of bilateral relations, the planned steps, expressing hope that the stabilization of the coronavirus situation in Armenia will allow him to leave for Yerevan soon.

The Armenian Ambassador shared with the participants the details of the agreements reached during the discussions with his counterpart in the political, economic and cultural spheres, the joint work, urging the compatriots to come up with new initiatives and enrich the agenda of cooperation between the two countries.

The representatives of the Federation of Armenian Organizations of the Netherlands welcomed Niko Schermers' initiative to meet with Dutch-Armenians, shared an information on the results of their activities, future plans, as well as concerns about developments around Armenia.
