Ambassador Balayan's online lecture for the students of Leiden University

On August 18, Ambassador Balayan delivered an online lecture on "Armenia's Foreign Policy Priorities" to the students of Leiden University.

During the lecture, Ambassador Balayan briefly introduced the history of Armenia, referred to the declaration of independence of the third republic, the revolution that took place in Armenia and the democratic processes.

In the context of Armenia's foreign policy priorities, a detailed reference was made to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the recognition and condemnation of the Armenian Genocide, as well as Armenia's important role in the prevention of genocides and efforts to raise awareness of the issue in the international arena.

Ambassador Balayan provided the students with general information on Armenia's relations with neighboring countries and international partners, including international organizations, and Armenian communities in a number of countries.

The Armenian-Dutch historical ties, interstate relations, the current dynamics, in particular, the decision of the Netherlands to establish an embassy in Armenia, the assistance provided to Armenia during the epidemic, the expansion of cooperation in bilateral and multilateral dimensions were discussed in detail.

At the end of the lecture, the Ambassador answered the students' various questions.
