The Prosecutor General of Armenia Anna Vardapetyan met with the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court Karim Khan

On 5 March, 2024, in the framework of the working visit to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Anna Vardapetyan, Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia met Karim Khan, Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Kingdom of the Netherlands Viktor Biyagov also participated in the meeting.

Armenia became a member of the International Criminal Court on February 1, 2024, thus becoming the 124th state joining the Rome Statute and the 19th state from the Eastern European group.

Anna Vardapetyan thanked Karim Khan for the meeting and mentioned that the meeting shall contribute to ensuring effective cooperation with the International Criminal Court, revision of domestic procedures and bringing them into compliance with the provisions of the Statute.

Several issues of mutual interest were discussed during the meeting.
