Official Visit of the Dutch Foreign Minister to Armenia

On March 12, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Minister Ararat Mirzoyan held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, Caspar Veldkamp, who is on an official visit to Yerevan.

The ministers first had a tête-à-tête meeting, followed by discussions in an extended format with the participation of delegations.

Following the meeting the ministers also held a joint press conference.

The two ministers signed a Joint Declaration on Strategic Partnership between the Republic of Armenia and the Netherlands.

Within the framework of the official visit to Armenia Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands Caspar Veldkamp, the official opening ceremony of the Embassy of the Netherlands in Armenia took place.

In his remarks at the event, Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan noted: "We should acknowledge that today we have three reasons to be proud: first, of course, is the visit of my dear colleague; second, the opportunity we had to sign and announce the strategic cooperation document between our two countries; and third, this wonderful occasion to finally participate together in the official opening of the resident Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Republic of Armenia.

I want to note and acknowledge that the embassy, just like the signing of the strategic document, is actually a great sign and testimony to the friendship and partnership that we already have between the two countries, and which we are preparing to deepen".
