On January 24, within the framework of the Rotterdam 48th International Film Festival, the presentation of the "The Temple of the Cinema" program and the innovative screening of Sergey Parajanov’s "The Color of Pomegranate" film episodes took place in the Arminius Church.

Harutyun Khachatryan, President of the Cinematographers' Union and Shushanik Mirzakhanyan, Director of the National Cinema Center participated in the "On the Road to Cinema Matenadaran" symposium-conference and the screening of Parajanov’s, Ruben Gevorgyants’ and Maria Sahakyan’s films within the framework of the “The Temple of the Cinema” program.

Speaking at the opening of the program presentation, Shushanik Mirzakhanyan considered it symbolic that the screenings of the preserved and restored episodes of "The Color of Pomegranate" film take place in Rotterdam, as the famous Armenian director went abroad for the first time thirty years ago, to participate in the Rotterdam film festival. It is noteworthy that the screening of the film coincides with several more anniversaries - Parajanov's 95th anniversary, the 50th anniversary of the "The Color of Pomegranate" film and the 80th anniversary of Tigran Mansurian. In her remarks, Mrs. Mirzakhanyan thanked both Rotterdam 48th International Film Festival Program Coordinator and Film Restorer Daniel Byrd, who played a great role in the development of the project, and all those, thanks to whom ribbons miraculously were saved, providing us with an exceptional opportunity to view them.

The Children's Choir of the "Abovyan" Cultural Union of The Hague and Svetlana Aghajanyan, the artistic director of the latter presented musical performances.

Many participants and guests of the film festival, members of the Dutch-Armenian community and employees of the RA Embassy attended the presentation of the "Cinema Temple" program, as well as the screening of Parajanov's "Color of Pomegranate" film episodes, which were not included in the final version of the film.
