Ambassador Balayan held a meeting with The State Secretary for Security and Justice of The Netherlands

On September 24, Tigran Balayan, Ambassador of Armenia to the Netherlands met with Ankie Brokers-Knoll, The State Secretary for Security and Justice.

Welcoming Ambassador Balayan, The State Secretary Brokers-Knoll emphasized that she recalls with warmth her visit to Armenia as the President of the Senate.

Ambassador Balayan presented the initiatives and steps taken to expand bilateral cooperation, planned high-level mutual visits, efforts to deepen trade and economic ties and intensify cultural exchanges. Ankie Brokers-Knoll expressed satisfaction over the dynamic development of the Armenian-Dutch relations, especially emphasizing the exemplary cooperation established between Armenia and the Netherlands in the field of migration.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the launch of a visa liberalization dialogue between Armenia and the European Union. It was emphasized that the launch of the liberalization process is a joint commitment, which is enshrined in the declarations and other important documents of the Eastern Partnership Summit.

The interlocutors discussed the possibilities of expanding cooperation in the field of prevention of illegal migration.
